Way Back When...
Our journey began many years ago when a simple gift - a bandsaw from my wife - ignited a spark of creativity that continues to burn brightly today. With a newfound tool at my disposal, we began exploring projects and possibilities. It wasn't long before serendipity struck, leading us to discover a book of cat-themed woodworking patterns. Intrigued and inspired, I ventured to a local lumber yard, eager to transform raw materials into works of art.

Rummaging through the odds-and-ends section, I found myself drawn to the beauty and durability of hardwoods. Selecting a few choice pieces, I returned home ready to embark on a new adventure. Armed with determination and a growing collection of cat patterns, I spent countless hours honing my craft - cutting, sanding, shaping, and refining until each figure emerged as a unique expression of skill and dedication.

In our quest for perfection, I researched various finishes, ultimately choosing Danish Oil as a base. Each piece is then given multiple applications of varnish topcoat. Applied by hand, this combination of finishes gave each piece its beautiful luster.​​
Where We Are Today...
As life's demands pulled us in different directions, our woodworking hobby took a back seat, patiently waiting for the right moment to resurface. Fast forward to the present, where retirement beckons with the promise of newfound freedom and opportunity. It was during this time of reflection and rediscovery that the cat figures found their way back into our lives. Sharing photos of our original creations sparked a wave of enthusiasm and encouragement, confirming what we had suspected all along—there was a market for our unique blend of artistry and craftsmanship. And so, with renewed passion and purpose, we've embraced this project wholeheartedly, eager to share our love for woodworking and feline companionship with the world.
